Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge

It is time for a new challenge over at Joan's Gardens.  We want you to create a card with a "Garden Theme".   Be sure to add some flowers.

I created my card using the Heartfelt Creations "Vintage Watering Can PreCut" stamp set.  The flowers by the sentiment were created with the Heartfelt Creations "Vintage Floret" dies.   The Heartfelt Creations sentiment was stamped in the Marianne Design "LR0117" Frame.

I wanted to show you a closeup of the flowers.  I did a new technique I thought have a fun result.   I added white "Liquid Applique" to all the little flowers around the watering can to make them dimensional, and on the larger flower petals. It was heat set using the heat gun, then I sponged on  "Pearlescent" Chalks to add some color. I love the texture.

Here is a picture of the chalks and the Liquid Applique I used.

I hope you will join us this week in our challenge at Joan's Gardens.  Please go over to Joan's blog for all the details.

All the products I used can be purchased by Joan's Gardens:

Heartfelt Creations "Vintage Floret" Flower die  HCD 727
Cheery Lynn "Flourish Leaf Strip" B178
